Wake Forest football has made Virginia a key part of their recruiting strategy and the Deacs staff have made defensive end Rashaud Pernell a key target in the 2022 class. Pernell put Wake Forest in his top seven in January and he spoke to Deacons Illustrated about his connection with the staff and his plans to visit Winston-Salem.
