Clemson: S Jonathan Meeks had two interceptions, including one he took back for a 74-yard touchdown, as the 14th-ranked Tigers turned back the visiting Hokies. The win marked the 11th straight at home for the Tigers, which tied a school record that was last accomplished in 1991, as Dabo Swinney's team is now 4-0 at Death Valley this season after going 7-0 at home in 2011. Clemson's defensive performance was highlighted by Meeks' two interceptions, as well as fellow senior S Rashard Hall, who had a game-high 12 tackles,
and the play of LBs Jonathan Willard and Spencer Shuey, who had 10 and nine stops, respectively. Clemson QB Tajh Boyd ran for a pair of 1-yard touchdowns and passed 37 yards to WR DeAndre Hopkins for another score.
Wake Forest: PK Chad Hedlund kicked three field goals as the Demon Deacons used a stout defensive effort to score a road win at Virginia. Wake Forest limited the Cavaliers to 48 yards rushing on 32 carries. A strong defensive stand at game's end, keyed by freshman NG Tylor Harris' sack of Virginia QB Phillip Sims for an 11-yard loss on third down, allowed the Demon Deacons to seal the win. CB Kevin
Johnson had a key interception and a fumble recovery to further aid Wake's defensive effort. Josh Harris' 16-yard run accounted for Wake Forest's lone touchdown in the opening quarter. Virginia's only touchdown came on Sims' 13-yard pass to WR Tim Smith with 25 seconds left in the first half. That tied the score at 7-7, but QB Tanner Price connected with WR Brandon Terry for a 41-yard pass play and Hedlund countered with the first of his three field goals with six seconds remaining in the half, putting the Demon Deacons back in front to stay.
Clemson-Wake Forest Series
Wake Forest nearly snapped its five-game losing streak at Memorial Stadium last
year, falling just short to the Tigers 31-28. Overall, Clemson holds a commanding 59-
17-1 all-time advantage over the Deacons. The last time Wake Forest and Clemson
met on a Thursday night at BB&T Field in 2008, the Deacons pulled-out a 12-7 victory
in what turned out to be Tommy Bowden's final game as Clemson head coach.

CU: - Clemson junior WR DeAndre Hopkins ranks 2nd nationally in receiving yards per game. Hopkins, who also leads the ACC in receptions per game (7.4) and in touchdown receptions (9), is averaging 120.7 yards per game and has caught a TD pass in each of his last four games.
CU: Clemson PK Chandler Catanzaro has made 20 consecutive fi eld goals, a streak which began in the 2011 season. He broke the Clemson school record of 14, set by Obed Arriri, in 1980, with a 50-yarder on Sept. 22 against Florida State. The ACC record is 27 straight set by NC State's Marc Primanti during
the 1995-96 seasons. Catanzaro is now 48-61
over his career, a .783 percentage and has
made all 12 of his fi eld goal attempts this year. His streak is the 4th-longest in ACC history.
CU: Clemson junior QB Tajh Boyd has 52 touchdown passess in a year and a half as the Tigers' starting quarterback. Boyd is 17th on the ACC's career list and is 11th among active quarterbacks in the NCAA's FBS.
CU: Clemson reserve defensive back Jerrodd Williams suffered a broken leg at practice Tuesday and will miss the remainder of the season. It is the second time Williams has broken a leg as he suffered that injury during spring practice of 2012. Williams played in six of the seven games on special teams so far this season.
WFU: Wake Forest, which hosts Clemson this Thursday night for a nationally televised game on ESPN, has won on each of the four occasions the Demon Deacons have played on ESPN's Thursday night package. Wake is a perfect 4-0. Virginia Tech has won more games on ESPN Thursday night (19-5) and Miami
has the best winning percentage for 5 or more
appearances (15-3, .833), while Georgia Tech
has appeared on more Thursday night games
(25) than any other ACC school.
WFU: For the second-straight game, the Wake Forest defense held its opponent under 60 yards rushing, allowing just 48 yards on
32 carries to Virginia on Oct. 20.
WFU: Senior fullback Tommy Bohanon has been one of Tanner Price's go-to targets in recent weeks. Over the past three games, Bohanon has five catches for 58 yards, which more than doubled his season output in both categories
WFU: Sophomore cornerback Kevin Johnson recorded the first interception of his career in the second quarter against Maryland on Oct. 6. One game later, the Clarksville, Md. native nabbed his second
interception in as many games, picking-off a Phillip Sims pass in the fourth quarter against Virginia.
