Catching up with Kyle Wilber
Kyle Wilber was rewarded for his hard work.
After enduring three years at home for the holidays Wilber played integral role in helping lead Wake Forest to the Music City Bowl. Wilber finished second on the team in tackles with 70, and tied for the team lead in sacks with 3.5. He also forced three fumbles and recovered one.

The 6-foot-5, 240-pound linebacker/defensive end from Apopka, Fla. has spent the last four months preparing for the NFL Draft.
He ran as low as a 4.59 and as high as a 4.65 in the 40-yard dash Monday, March 19 at Wake Forest's NFL Pro Day. Wilber is hearing that he could be selected from the second to fifth round.
He spoke with Deacons Illustrated about what the pre-draft process has been like for him.
Are you having fun right now? "It's a great experience. It's very frustrating and stressing, but it's a little fun."
Do you feel a lot of pressure? "I feel a lot of pressure, but if you stay calm and relaxed everything goes well."
What has it been like getting to prepare for the NFL Draft with your teammates, Josh Bush and Chris Givens? "It was just a great experience. I was just glad to be there [Miami] with Josh Bush and Chris Givens."
"At least I knew somebody that can motivate me, push me a little bit harder."
What are you enjoying most about the process of getting ready for the NFL Draft? "Just the experiences. This is a lifetime experience. A lot of people don't have the opportunity to do this. It has just been a great opportunity to have been through this."
What do you think about these young guys running around at Wake Forest? "I've seen that a lot of our coaches have gone. I think Justin Jackson [outside linebacker] is doing a great job at his position. I'm really expecting a lot from Kevin Johnson at corner. I'm expecting big things from him and Merrill Noel."
