Wake Forest announced in a statement released from the athletic communications office that senior free safety Duran Lowe has dismissed from the team for a violation of University policy.
Associate athletic director for media relations Steve Shutt said Demon Deacon head coach Jim Grobe would not speak with the media regarding Lowe's dismissal.
Lowe earned his way back on the team after an indefinite suspension following his arrest (Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012) and possession of marijuana and intent to distribute charges.
The Plant City, Fla. product made 91 tackles and an interception in 31 games.
Lowe's departure leaves the Deacs with senior A.J. Marshall as the only free safety left on the roster.
