Devon Dotson Cuts List to eight

Providence Day (Charlotte, NC) class of 2018 point guard Devon Dotson has cut his list to eight schools. The Top 40 ranked prospect announced his list via Twitter while he is attending the NBPA Top 100 camp in Charlottesville, Va.

An attacking point guard who would excel in an up-tempo offense, Dotson averaged a team-best 18.1 points, 5.7 rebounds 3.5 assists and 3.2 steals this spring for Team Charlotte in the Under Armour Association (UAA) while shooting 46 percent from the field. Dotson leads the UAA in points per possession with 38 steals in 12 games.

Florida, Kansas and Arizona are considered by many to be the lead contenders for Dotson whose list only includes one in-state program – Wake Forest.

The 6-foot-2 Dotson, ranked the No. 36 prospect in his class took an unofficial visit to Maryland on Monday before heading to the NBPA Top 100 Camp so it was not much of a surprise that the Terps made his list.

Right now the plan is for Dotson to take official visits in September, possibly even one in August and make his school choice in early fall.
