"Chase has been a great representative of our program over the past two seasons," said Bzdelik. "We appreciate all of his hard work and wish him the best in the future."
Fischer, a 6-3 guard out of Ripley, W.Va., saw action in all 31 games this past season with three starts. He averaged 4.5 points and 1.1 rebounds in 14.2 minutes per game while shooting 42.2 percent (35-of-83) from 3-point range. For his career, Fischer played in 62 games over the past two seasons at Wake Forest and made six starts.
"I want to thank the coaching staff for giving me the opportunity here at Wake Forest and helping me develop on and off the court," said Fischer. "I've enjoyed my time at Wake Forest, on campus and getting to play with a great group of teammates. I will miss the friends that I've made here, but I feel like it's in my best interests to continue my career elsewhere. I wish the program all the best."
