The Latest: Three-star Marietta (Ga.) Lassiter defensive back Tyriq Hardimon has been committed to Cal for months, but after the recent coaching change in Berkeley he choose to explore his options. As it turns out, several schools came calling, but one ended up convincing him to stay closer to home. Hardimon revealed his decision to commit to Wake Forest in a conversation with Rivals.com.

In His Words: "I chose Wake Forest because I felt like I fit in with the players, I loved the size of the school and campus and I really loved the coaching staff. Also I have two friends already committed there. They came calling when they first offered my in spring but they had ran out of space. They came back and gave me another opportunity to commit after Coach Dykes got fired. The last time I visited campus was on Friday-Sunday on my official where I fell in love with the school and the team. They say I can either fit in at strong safety or free safety. It means a lot for me to stay close to home so I can come home more often and be around my family and friends while still getting an amazing education from Wake Forest."

Rivals Reaction: Hardimon is a nice addition to the Demon Deacons recruiting class and the school was wise to pounce once there was instability at Cal. The staff has done a great job recruiting the Atlanta area in this year's class and Hardimon is just the latest piece of the puzzle.
