Sharp turn, three-star QB headed to Big 12
Aaron Sharp. It has been a wild 24 hours for three-star Humble (Texas) Summer Creek quarterback
Friday night the standout tweeted out his decision to commit to Utah over the Kansas State Wildcats. It was a tough decision and one he arrived at after much thought and consideration.
However, recruiting can often take unpredictable twists and turns and by Saturday morning there were already rumors floating around that the 6-foot-3, 190-pound signal caller had decided to de-commit from the Utes and give his pledge to the Wildcats.
Saturday evening Sharp confimerd via Facebook message the rumors were in fact true.
"Yes I decommitted from Utah and committed to K state," Sharp stated. "I liked both schools, so my decision was last minute, and when I say last minute I mean like last minute, back and forth with the decision.
"So my parents liked both schools, but my mom really wanted me closer to home so she can see me. So she couldn't really sleep last night and got emotional because my decision finally set in that I was going so far.
"So for the Family to be in agreement and everybody happy, I told my Mom I would switch my choice for her. Because to me it really could have gone either way. I liked both schools. Plus my parents really like Snyder's program. He teaches life before football and they fell in love with that.
"So I'm cool with it, I'm solid with K state, and now I will focus on Getting better, and my high school team."
Sharp admits the decision was very tough and the last few days have been full of mixed emotions, but now the decision has been made. He is a Wildcat and is looking forward to playing ball in Manhattan.
