Army: The Black Knights are looking for their first win of the season after suffering a 41-40 loss to Northern Illinois last Saturday at Michie Stadium in West Point, N.Y.

Wake Forest: RB Chris Thompson rushed for 197 yards and two touchdowns to lead the fi fth-ranked Seminoles (3-0, 1-0) to a 52-0 ACC win over visiting Wake Forest. Thompson, who suffered a broken back in last year's game vs. the Demon Deacons and feared at one point his football career was over, scored on successive runs of 74 and 80 yards in the fi rst half. The Seminoles have outscored their first three opponents of the 2012 season by a combined 176-3. DE Kris Redding had a pair of quarterback sacks and a forced fumble for the Demon Deacons (2-1, 1-1).

Army-Wake Forest Series
Wake Forest holds a 7-4 edge in the all-time series with Army. The Black Knights dominated the first three games in the series, outscoring Wake 141-14 but the Deacs have won seven of the last eight in the series, including five-straight. In the teams' last meeting in 2007, Wake Forest used a Kenny Moore punt return and an Aaron Curry interception return to secure a 21-10 victory.

Army-Wake Forest Notes
ARMY: RB Raymond Maples ran for 165 yards vs. Northern Illinois and was one of three Black Knights to eclipse the 100-yard rushing mark last Saturday. Fullback Larry Dixon picked up 136 yards and three touchdowns and quarterback Trent Steelman battled for 129 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Black Knights.

ARMY: The Black Knights will attempt to put a number of losing streaks to bed on Saturday. Army have lost six straight games overall, nine straight away from West Point, fi ve in a row against Wake Forest and four in a row on the Demon Deacons' home field.

ARMY: Army's offense is coming off a 486-yard, six touchdown rushing performance against Northern Illinois. The Black Knights averaged 5.7 yards per rush and held the ball for 42:33. The effort tied for 14th on the Academy single-game rushing ledger, and was the Black Knights' best rushing game against a Football Bowl Subdivision opponent since running for 546 yards versus Rutgers on Oct. 12, 1996.

ARMY: The Black Knights' 486 yards against Northern Illinois was the top rushing game in the nation this season. The performance propelled Army into the No. 2 spot on the national rushing list at 384.00 yards per game. The Black Knights led the nation in rushing last season at 346.50 yards per game.

WFU: DE Kris Redding had four tackles, including a pair of quarterback sacks, and forced a fumble against Florida State.

WFU: Josh Harris rushed 15 times for 51 yards against the Seminoles, and Sherman Ragland caught two passes for 48 yards to lead the offense.

WFU: Brandon Chubb led the defense with seven tackles. Kris Redding had four tackles, including two sacks, and forced a fumble that was recovered by freshman Tylor Harris, who made his first career start in place of injured nose guard Nikita Whitlock.

WFU: For the year, quarterback Tanner Price is 51-of-88 for 604 yards and one touchdown. He is also tied for the team-lead with a pair of rushing touchdowns.

WFU: Despite a tough game last weekend, junior Michael Campanaro is one of the top receivers in the ACC. He's hauled in 24 passes this season for 268 yards and one score.
