Top 10: Candidates to move up in the Rivals150

With the high school season winding down and the national all-star events upon us, we take a look at 10 prospects poised to rise in the final update to the 2012 Rivals150.

1. Glenn Robinson III
School: St. John (Ind.) Lake Central
The Buzz: The 6-foot-7 wing was knocking on the door of five-star status coming out of the summer. This winter, he appears to be well on his way to busting that door down. He has size, a complete game and high level athleticism that all translates at a high level. His impact at Michigan should be immediate and sizable.

2. Anthony January
School: Woodland Hills (Calif.) Taft
The Buzz: A long and athletic talented forward, the flashes shown by January have kept him in the Rivals150. Now a senior, he's been one of California's top players and has improved his skill, output and consistency to the point that he's looking at a making a nice jump in the final rankings. He's one of the top remaining unsigned prospects in the country.

3. Christopher Obekpa
School: Centereach (N.Y.) Our Savior
The Buzz: There aren't many players in the class of 2012 who can protect the rim like the 6-foot-8 Obekpa. A long-armed shot-blocker, Obekpa has great timing and uses either hand to swat shots. One of the top remaining available players, his offense is better than he's been given credit for

4. Semaj Christon
School: Wolfeboro (N.H.) Brewster Prep
The Buzz: A native of Cincinnati, the Xavier-bound Christon has been outstanding during his post grad year. He has great size, tremendous speed, should be a good defender and puts pressure on the defense with his ability to make plays off of the dribble

5. Winston Shepard
School: Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep
The Buzz: San Diego State recently picked up a player capable of making a major impact. A jumbo-sized wing who is a playmaker and has lots of charisma, Shepard will quickly be a fan favorite. Maybe the single most versatile defender in the country, Shepard is going to move up in the final Rivals150.

6. Katin Reinhardt
School: Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei
The Buzz: The confident shooting guard from California has UNLV fans whipped into a frenzy thanks to his scoring prowess. As a senior, he's retained his confidence while also improving his shot selection, consistency and ability to play within the framework of an offense.

7. Dominic Artis
School: Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep
The Buzz: When he made the move from the East Bay area to Findlay, some questioned whether the six-footer would thrive. The future Oregon Duck has thrived and then some. Most important to his development has been the work he's done in the weight room to add strength.

8. Tyler Lewis
School: Mouth of Wilson (Va.) Oak Hill
The Buzz: A McDonald's All-American selection, Lewis has been magnificent as a senior. He's a bit stronger, keeps coming at you and has managed to keep a talented group of scorers on the same page while leading the Warriors to an undefeated record. North Carolina State fans will love the homegrown product.

9. Grant Jerrett
School: La Verne (Calif.) Lutheran
The Buzz: In the past, the 6-foot-10 post scorer headed to Arizona has looked a bit mechanical and struggled with other bigs because of a lack of strength. Through hard work he's continued to add to his skill level and along the way he's played with more physicality and become much more aggressive on the glass while putting together a monster senior year.

10. Kellen Dunham
School: Pendleton (Ind.) Heights
The Buzz: A 6-foot-4 shooter who is headed to Butler, Dunham has been lighting up scoreboards his senior year. A tough kid who will excel in the Bulldogs offense, Dunham has improved his ability to create his own shot and his overall productivity has been impossible to ignore.
