After dozens of live games and senior film evaluations, it is time to finalize the BuckeyeGrove.com Ohio rankings for the class of 2012. There was not a whole lot of movement within the top 10, with the only new member being Centerville defensive end/linebacker Ifeadi Odenigbo. Odenigbo, a Northwestern commit, is still a raw prospect but showed enough improvement during his senior season to jump into the top ten, especially given his sky-high ceiling.
Ohio State commit Adolphus Washington holds on to his number one spot in the rankings and joins a group of at least five future Buckeyes in the top ten. That number could grow to six as the No. 9 ranked prospect, Cleveland Heights offensive tackle Kyle Dodson, will make his decision on National Signing Day.
The Buckeyes also have commitments from two of the 'big movers' in the final update in Steubenville defensive back Najee Murray and Vandalia-Butler offensive tackle Taylor Decker.
Murray had a monster senior season and was co-defensive player of the year in Ohio at the Division III level along with Washington. As for Decker, the big tackle prospect continued his rapid physical development and was a much bigger and stronger player than he was as a junior.
Another big mover inside the top 25 was Cincinnati Sycamore product A.J. Williams. Williams, a Michigan verbal, is up to over 270-pounds and while he may get his first crack as a tight end, his best position when projecting long term is offensive tackle where his athleticism and long arms make him an ideal prospect for the position.
Some of the other notable big movers in the final update are Pickerington Central safety Sebastian Smith, Lakewood St. Edward receiver Quincy Jones, Cleveland Glenville defensive lineman Willie Henry, and Cleveland St. Ignatius quarterback Eric Williams.
