Deacons Illustrated has confirmed with WVSports.com that Wake Forest co-passing coordinator and wide receivers coach Lonnie Galloway will be leaving the Demon Deacons to return to West Virginia.

He re-tweeted Seattle Seahawks defensive end and former West Virginia standout Bruce Irvin: "Shout out to @CoachGalloway7 on coming back home! #WVU."

Galloway, who was one of Wake's top recruiters, played a significant role in the development of the Deacs spread offense and passing attack.

The Demon Deacons amassed 5,701 yards and 35 touchdowns through the air during his two seasons at Wake Forest.

He was the co-passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach at West Virginia from 2008-10.
